Manage Money Wisely

There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man swallows it up (Prov. 21:20)

 

I.  Spend Conservatively

    The wise man saves for the future, but stupid people spend their money as fast as they get it. (Prov. 21:20a, GN)

    A.  Stop The Buying

    B.  Start The Budgeting

        Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. (Prov. 21:5, NLT)

If you live ABOVE your income    –    That’s Bankruptcy

If you live AT your income    –    That’s Bondage

If you live BELOW your income    –    That’s Blessing

 

II.  Borrow Carefully

   The borrower becomes the lender’s slave (Prov. 22:7)
    A.  The Wrong Stimulus For Debt

        One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing (Prov. 13:7, NIV)

   B. The Wrong Side Of Debt

 

III.  Save Continually

   Go to the ant … prepares her food in the summer and gathers her provision in the harvest (Prov. 6:6-8)

    A.  Saving For A Rainy Day

    B.  Saving For A Retirement Day

 

IV.  Give Consistently

    Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; So your barns will be filled with plenty (Prov. 3:9-10)

   B.  The Promise In Giving - Provision
